PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
APG DPW operates and maintains facilities, structures, utilities, roads, land and all of the related equipment located on APG.  DPW currently has inventoried approximately 3,300 facilities, structures, utilities and land, identified by over 40,000 separate locations with over 25,000 pieces of equipment.  DPW provides the following programs and services:  facility operations and maintenance, design, construction, utility and energy conservation, recycling; solid waste management, custodial services, landscaping, and environmental, safety and occupational health.  These DPW programs and services require CADD and FMS support services.

DPW serves over 80 Garrison Supported Organizations (GSO), 20,000 civilian and military personnel, and over 16 million square feet of building space.  Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) has had a huge impact on APG and specifically the CADD and FMS services DPW provides.  VANJOH provides onsite CADD and data management support for over 7,000 engineering drawings and approximately 40,000 real property recordable equipment items requiring tracking, preventative maintenance, repair and replacement parts.

VANJOH provides CADD services support using MicroStation v8i for the preliminary engineering and conceptual drawings of capital plans and projects, preliminary engineering drawings for laboratories, administrative spaces, and other infrastructure assets, As-Built data management, engineering record conversion in support of the APG GIS for the APG Master Plan as they relate to capital plans and projects, keeping the spatial data stored in the GIS and as-built data management system current and allow for further development of capital plans and projects.  This information is essential in DPW planning, management, and day-to-day operations.
